I had a great run/walk today! 5.5 miles at about a 13 minute mile pace. Not fast but this speed with running and walking mixed in makes sure that my IT band doesn’t act up and that my knee doesn’t start hurting. Doing this is probably the only way I will be able to complete my half marathon in October. A mile is still a mile no matter how fast. I was still all sweaty when I was done and breathing hard and I still burned a ton of calories. Run/walking makes exercise enjoyable for me again because I am not in pain and I am still able to cover miles and get my stress relief. Run/walking is a win-win for me!
